She describes herself as a “life-long food explorer, driven by a passion for food”. But Karni Tomer, founder and CEO of Wok ‘n’ Stroll in Singapore, is more than that. She is an entrepreneur through and through, driven by creativity, resourcefulness and resilience.
In this episode, we learn how she overcame her personal anxieties when the Covid-19 pandemic wiped out all bookings from the business she founded in 2013, how she turned a personal tragedy into the start of a culinary adventure from the Israeli desert. Through her natural love for cooking, she’s found new niches for her business which she never knew existed and thus saved her business. Her willingness to learn and experiment has set Wok ‘n’ Stroll up stronger for the future.
